Description

walkers urea foot cream

The Walker’s brand is a well-known brand that is made in Australia. The Walkers foot cream comes in two strengths (15% and 25%) and they have different purposes. The urea-based creams have been used since the 1940’s to treat a range of skin conditions. There are now several scientific studies published on just how good the urea-based creams are for dry skin.

What is the difference between the 25% and 15%?

A stronger concentration does not always mean it is better or more effective. A urea concentration of below 20% (ie the Walker’s 15%) the action of the urea is more to act as a humectant, which means it that helps the skin retain moisture. Above a concentration of about 20 (ie the Walker’s 25%) it causes a breakdown of proteins in the skin and the dry skin can flake of and soften the skin. You need to use the one that best meets your needs. Often, they are both used alternatively to get both effects.

The Walkers 25% Urea Cream can be very effective at removing dead and dry skin. When that has been reduced, then the Walker’s 15% Urea cream can be used to maintain the condition of the skin.

Frequently asked questions about the Walkers Urea Foot Cream:

How long does shipping take?

This can vary from a few days up to a week or so and obviously more during the festive season. We do try our best to get them to you as quickly as possible.

Should I use the 15% or 25% urea cream?

They both have different purposes. Where is the Walker’s Urea Cream made?

It is made in Australia.

What are the ingredients of Walkers Urea Cream?:

Urea, mineral Oil, stearic acid, glycerine, propylene glycol, water, cetyl stearyl alchol, triethanolomine, EDTA, hydroxymethylglycinate

Urea is a non-toxic, non-allergenic, colourless and odourless product.

How to use the Urea cream?

The most important aspect of using any cream for dry skin, is that you have to use it regularly. Start off applying it 1 to 3 times a day. Reduce that to once a day once the skin improves. If you have a lot of dry cracked skin around the heel, you may need a file (eg foot file) or pumice stone to reduce that before using the creams.
